What I liked

The Company was great and the culture was inviting in for the interns. People were willing to talk about the company and give helpful advice.

What I wish was different

The company did a great job at creating a welcoming and fun experience for the summer.

Engineering Aide

May - July 2021 • Dayton, OH

What I liked

I liked everything about the experience. It was hands on, fun, engaging, and a great leadership position to learn from. I enjoyed the technical aspects as well as the public speaking, technical communication, and client engagement experiences.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't change anything, the experience was a 10/10.

Advice

One piece of advice I would give would be to not be afraid to ask questions. Your mentors want you to be able to work at your fullest potential, and they're always happy to help you achieve your goals. I would also advise networking with everyone in your office, they're all great people with amazing advice and experiences to share.

Supply Chain Intern

June - August 2020 • Westminster, CO

What I liked

It was terrific program and experience. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful.

What I wish was different

Some aspects of the program were altered greatly because of the remote nature. The IRIS program was not great and felt just like a homework assignment.

Advice

Reach out to as many people as possible.

Structural Analysis Intern

June 2019 • Westminster, CO

What I liked

The company is really great! They care a lot about each employee maintaining a good work-life balance, and the interns they hire are a great network and group of peers to enjoy Colorado with over the summer. I got to work on real projects with some of the brightest engineers that I've ever met. My team made me feel welcome and appreciated.

What I wish was different

I would have liked the opportunity to work on projects with the other interns, rather than only focusing on designs created by full-time employees.

Advice

I am studying civil engineering, so it was a little intimidating to step into the aerospace field. Although it isn't something that I think I will want to do for the rest of my career, I really enjoyed the experience! Go ahead and try things outside of your comfort zone -- especially during internships since they only last the summer!

Cyber Security Intern

June 2019 • Broomfield, CO

What I liked

I absolutely love the company and my bosses. I learned a ton and felt like I was doing real work.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have known what I was going to be working on so I could do a little bit of research before the internship started.

Advice

Ask questions and don't be afraid to get involved. I led a lot of meetings where I was totally clueless on the technology being discussed, but by showing interest and enthusiasm, my coworkers were happy to help me learn.
