I enjoyed having a very hands on experience working in multiple labs. The project I was on is important to the Environmental Division and I felt like I was working towards helping the environment. I gained true experience in the R&D field.
What I wish was different
I wish I was more involved in the analytical side of things and sat in more meetings to get exposure to what it is like full time.
Advice
Make a lot of connections! Everyone comes from a different background, talk to them about their experiences. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, that is the best way to learn.

What I liked
I loved working with the people! I also enjoyed the environment that I worked in, as it proved to be conducive for my professional growth. Executive exposure was a huge experience also! I was afforded the opportunity to have lunch, one-on-one, with senior vice presidents and the CEO.
What I wish was different
While working with Battelle, they went through an organizational restructure. As a result, the company laid off 10% of the workforce; this implemented a very gloomy mood across the company. Nonetheless, I was able to maintain a vibrant mood and uplift the spirits of those around me.
