What I liked

It had a great working environment, and the ability to grow.

What I wish was different

With the task I was given, there was a lot of waiting time.

Advice

I would ask a lot of questions, and wha5 I learned from my coworker is that, don't think about it as asking too many questions, think about it as searching for the truth.

Value Partnerships Intern

May 2018 • Detroit, MI

What I liked

I had the opportunity to learn about the physician quality and cost management side of health insurance. I will be able to use this knowledge when I return to working with physicians and eventually in primary care practices.

What I wish was different

I wish it was easier to get a job afterword. Sometimes, even if your coworkers want to hire you, jobs are just not available.

Advice

Jump on every possible opportunity, whether it be inside or outside of your department and even the company. Meet as many people as possible and make sure you act in a positive way that makes you memorable. Always follow up with the people that you have met. A hand-written thank you note goes a long way.
