BreakThrough Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient physical therapy practice with locations across North Carolina. BTPT began in 2007 in Morehead City, when we acquired an existing clinic from the first physio in that county. Over the next 7 years, the company grew to 7 clinics. In 2014, we partnered with Dunn Physical Therapy to acquire their four clinics in Apex, Cary and Raleigh, which were officially rebranded to BreakThrough Physical Therapy in September 2016.
BreakThrough Physical Therapy provides hands-on physical therapy based on the newest research and is committed to getting you the best results in fewer visits. Our physical therapists, or physios, as we call them, have a wide range of clinical expertise in manual physical therapy, spine care and rehabilitation, general orthopaedic conditions, pediatric physical therapy, sports specific injuries, workplace injuries, women’s health, aquatic therapy and much more.
Our mission is simply “to redefine Physical Therapy in the hearts and minds of all the customers we serve, elevating our prominence in the healthcare system.” In our experience, most patients don’t fully realize the level of expertise of today’s physio, that it matters which physio you see, and that we can prevent many surgeries and unnecessary care.
100% of the physios at BreakThrough Physical Therapy have advanced physical therapy degrees at either the Master’s or Doctorate level, allowing them to provide the highest standard of care to our patients. Our PT’s seek out specialized certifications, residencies and fellowships to understand and master the combination of “the science” and “the art” of Physical Therapy. We pride ourselves in knowing and practicing the best current evidence for each condition we treat.
