As a traditional summer camp on Walloon Lake in Northwest Michigan, Camp Daggett has served generations of summer campers since its founding in 1925. Campers learn to sail and canoe, swim in Walloon Lake every day, discover their creativity in Arts and Crafts, and develop an appreciation for the outdoors. Camp Daggett is able to provide meaningful, character-building experiences thanks to dedicated staff, a meaningful motto, a supportive Board of Trustees, and facilities that have evolved to meet the changing needs of campers over the years.

Mission: to provide quality character building experiences for young people through educational and recreational activities.
Motto: “The Other Fellow First”

Summer Camp Counselor

June 2017 - August 2017 Petoskey, MI
“As an education major, working at a summer camp is an experience that gives more experience interacting with kids than any other position I know. The purpose of the job is to entertain and make all of the campers have fun. I also loved working on the beach talking with kids about their lives and what they liked to do.”
