The relationships that I have developed with the Claretian Brothers and being able to spend time with them during mission trips before I entered.
What I wish was different
Nothing would be different because if it wasn't for the COVID-19 pandemic, my formation process would have lasted a little bit longer. I would have found a way to grow and find my "missionary identity" if the pandemic hadn't placed restrictions on Catholic Churches.
Advice
For any candidate who is discerning the path of a missionary life, spend time and reflect. It truly is a serious commitment to take if you are willing to follow the path of missionary life.

What I liked
During the past summer, I volunteered with an organization that gives shelter to refugees, mainly from African and Muslim countries. What I liked the most was to learn the experiences that non-Latino immigrants undergo in the United States. Being an immigrant myself, hearing their stories touched the sensitive part of me in a very special way.
What I wish was different
Although I could fulfill all my expectations, I I would have loved to accompanying them for a longer time to teach them to speak Spanish, since they want to learn the language.
Advice
My advice is that we should become more assimilated and supportive with the needs of our immigrant brothers and sisters. Some of them may could be our neighbors, classmates, or coworkers.
