Waitress

March 2018 • Rockville, MD

What I liked

I love the environment everyone is always so welcoming. It's an exciting and fun place to work where everyone truly cares about one another.

What I wish was different

Nothing. I have really enjoyed working for the company and always talk about it.

Advice

Opening up, and getting to meet knew people has been a really good experience. The one thing I would have to say is to be yourself, and make sure everyone is happy and taken care of!

Assistant Tennis Coach/Office Manager

January 2018 • Gig Harbor, WA

What I liked

Working with people, representing my tennis club which is part of a country club, coaching kids tennis, and sharing my passion for tennis with others.

What I wish was different

More employees because often we are understaffed but because I enjoy my work I help out in all areas as needed including: Tennis Stringing, Adult and Junior Coaching, office management, and event coordinator when we do special tennis events like Margarita Mingle where I Coach adults tennis and they enjoy Margaritas afterwards!

Advice

Enjoy the work that you do and connect with those that you work with because connections are imperative for jobs!

Outside services

July 2018 • McKinney, TX

What I liked

Amazing atmosphere to work in! Friendly staff, members, and upper management. I also enjoyed meeting new members and assisting them if needed.

What I wish was different

I wish the daily tasks were distributed evenly. Sometimes it would be the same person completing all the tasks while the other person didn’t engage.

Advice

My advice about this work experience is that it was an amazing place to work at. Even today, I’m still involved with Club-Corp which allows me to use my connections. Overall, a great environment to work in!

Tennis Shop Attendant

March - October 2021 • Riverside, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed the sense of community that existed when I arrived and how quickly I was welcomed into it and soon I became part of the workplace's natural social environment. I came in with a certain skillset and left with information and skills that I learned while working there. I went in believing that I knew a lot, yet spent every day as a sponge, learning more and more about the people I served and about the hobby that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Private Events Coordinator

January 2018 • Roswell, GA

What I liked

It was nice having a variable schedule and having multiple clients so that no day was the same.

What I wish was different

I would have been full-time director position instead of just an hourly worker. That I would have been allowed to go through all of the training.

Advice

Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. Make sure that you stay active in asking for training.
