Crowdcreate

Growth Marketing Assistant Intern

September - December 2019 • Irvine, CA

What I liked

Jeff and Ivan, Crowdcreate's co-founders, supervised me and the other interns. Jeff and Ivan were kind and understanding. They treated us to food sometimes and allowed us to work remotely if we were sick or had a tight college schedule. The salesperson I was assistant to, Will Walker was also friendly and cheerful. I felt genuine concern and team spirit embedded in Crowdcreate's work culture and employees. I was able to learn how to coordinate in a team, in-person and online. I learned how to use Slack and Zoom, two valuable programs for virtual team management. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

What I wish was different

I wish my assigned work was more organized. With new tasks added onto my daily assigned work, it felt somewhat chaotic at times. But this was my first internship, so that may be why I felt that way.

Advice

Crowdcreate involves marketing and sales work. As a growth marketing assistant intern specifically, be prepared for a fast-paced environment and unexpected challenges that may require you to think fast and come up with solutions.
