Digital Marketing Intern

May - August 2017 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

It was a very hands-on experience and I got to be totally in charge of my own project. I shaped what the project was going to be - my manager gave me a say in what I did. The employees were very nice and willing to help an intern with anything I asked. The culture is very sports oriented, which is my passion and that excited me to go to work every day.

What I wish was different

I sometimes felt as if I did not have enough work to do. I felt I could have been given more projects and could have contributed more.

Advice

Take initiative to do whatever you're interested in even if your manager does not assign you the work. Don't be afraid to ask others in your area for work.

Sales Support

June 2019 • Prescott, AZ

What I liked

I really enjoyed the people that I met and the ability to constantly learn on the job. I always looked forward to learning a new department or small skill such as product censoring or working with the cash register functions.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a more consistent schedule. Having set times and days to work seems to help me schedule other aspects of my life, rather than sitting around waiting to be called in and help whenever they need.

Advice

If you maintain an attitude of learning and willingness to help wherever you can, not only do you pick up more skills, but the work that you do in each section gains you recognition with whoever else is in that department. If you're willing to learn, networking becomes easier, and the team flows better.
