About Hiram House Camp

The mission of Hiram House is to enrich the lives of children through camping. We provide the youth of our community with an opportunity to live, play and learn in an environment that is racially, ethnically and socio-economically diverse. Hiram House is committed to promoting family values, building character and opening new horizons for youth.

Hiram House Camp is Ohio’s oldest camp and one of the earliest camps in the United States, offering a continuous summer program each year for well over a century. An accredited member of the American Camp Association (ACA), the camp is located just east of Cleveland in Northeast Ohio on 172 pristine acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley.

Camp Counselor

“I got to work outdoors and with kids all summer. Everyday was full of fun stories and surprises and bunch of great co counselors to laugh about our struggles with. ”

Challenge Course Specialist

June 2018 - August 2018 Moreland Hills, OH
“I loved my coworkers and the enthusiasm of the children. I ran one of the more exclusive activities at the camp (the high ropes course) and only children 10 and older could participate. If they had attended camp in prior years, they longed to go on the ropes course once they reached ten. My coworkers and I became very close friends and stay in touch even now. ”
