I liked how I felt like I was actually doing something productive that impacted other people. I wasn't just filing or doing superfluous office work. I was actually reviewing and analyzing data and making important changes.

Shorter work days so that students had the opportunity to explore the city

Make sure your work is accurate and precise. You're dealing with quite a bit of money.
