What I liked

This internship gave me a great insight into the wealth management industry. I had the chance to study and analyze markets under the senior portfolio manager. This gave me a great understanding of both fundamental and technical equity analysis and portfolio management. Another important facet of this internship is the chance to interact directly with clients. This cultivated my ability to build rapport with active as well as potential clients. The CEO acts as an involved mentor with all employees, and provides guidance on personal and professional development. This internship has been invaluable in shaping my understanding of markets and client relationships.

What I wish was different

Advice

Be prepared to work hard and be challenged while doing this internship. If you are eager to understand market and further your knowledge, you will definitely succeed in this internship. Ask questions early and often and you will take a lot of important things from this internship

What I liked

This internship provided great insight into the financial advisory business. I gained experience in the sales aspect of the business, constantly interacting with prospective clients. This allowed me to improve my sales skills, which is an important tool for anyone aspiring for a career in finance. Furthermore, through numerous investment presentations and research assignments, I was able to gain valuable insight into the financial markets. Finally, and most importantly, I was able to surround myself with many high-achieving individuals, many of whom I will keep close long after this internship ends. Overall, a great introductory experience for those wishing to build their careers in finance.

What I liked

I liked how we went through a trading course where we learned different trading strategies. The course taught me a tremendous amount about the market and what to watch out for. I really enjoyed working with other interns while being immersed in the financial market. I learned how to talk to clients here at Quantumvest. I learned how to recognize trends and different key levels for the market. I learned various trading strategies to help both clients and myself when trading. I enjoyed talking to clients and being able to have real world experience. It is drastically different from the class room and the stakes are higher and it helps to learn from the best.

What I wish was different

Advice

One piece of advice is to continue to ask questions as the CEO is there to help you learn and grow as a person. He is spending his valuable time with you so don't waste your time while you are here.

What I liked

This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about the complex world of finance directly from the CEO and President of an investment firm. In this internship you will learn about the fundamental and technical analysis of equities including stocks and cryptocurrencies, how to write a report on an equity, and how to manage a large scale investment portfolio. The internship also provides you with the confidence and know-how on how to build and maintain connections with new and existing clients. The CEO and President are your mentors and guides not only in the industry but also in building a strong and positive mindset that allows you to excel in all aspects of your life. This internship provided me with the opportunity to learn and develop skills that have allowed me to be a standout candidate for other opportunities within the industry and continue on my journey in finance.

What I liked

During the internship, I gained real world experience with retirement accounts. This internship provided experience in client services, which is critical to better prepare anyone interested in financial advising/planning. My position heavily focussed on researching new possible buying opportunities to include in the company portfolio. The stock trading game was vital experience in order to further understand how the stock market works. This position allowed me to be involved in almost every aspect of the business and sets anyone up for success in the industry.

What I wish was different

Having previous interns of Quantumvest come speak with us to describe their success and the benefits they received from the internship. I received many enlightening stories from past interns later on in the semester, but I wish this part was presented earlier in order to provide inspiration from the start.

Advice

This internship is for highly motivated and strong minded individuals who want to be industry leaders one day. So if you are not committed to your success, this may not be the internship for you.

What I liked

If you want to become elite and see what the world of finance is actually about, I would highly suggest applying to Quantumvest. Each day you come into the office you get to work directly with the President and CEO of the company and learn the ins and outs of the industry. They supply you with tools like training courses and stock games to enrich your knowledge of stocks and crypto trading. You will also receive real world sales training as well as financial training. This internship allowed me to step into the world of finance and learn things about the stock market that I never even dreamed of. Working at Quantumvest has prepared me for the real world and made me into the professional I always knew I would become.

You have to come in ready to work, it's all about hard work here. But if you have an open mind it will pay off for you big time.

What I liked

During the internship, I really enjoyed learning what it takes to be successful in the advisory business. Learning about portfolio creation and analysis was a very interesting part of the internship. Interns participate in a stock trading simulation where you compete amongst each other, and in order to be successful and competitive in the game interns need to have full understanding about how to analyze market trends. Also, Austin Roncancio is a great teacher when it comes to teaching us about relationship building and client interaction, a lot of the reason why I have gotten this far in this internship is heavily due to his guidance.

What I wish was different

Hearing about past interns experience of the internship.

Advice

Be ready to work hard, and be coachable. It will be worth it, but if you are unwilling to put in the work then you will not succeed. In the end, it will be.
