During my internship at the Social Security office in Douglas, AZ, I enjoyed many things such as coworkers, challenges, and my daily tasks. Every single one of coworkers was very helpful during my entire internship. Any time I needed guidance to complete a task, my coworkers would always find time to show me how to complete the task. When I first began my internship, it was challenging to complete many tasks because I needed to complete all tasks according to specific laws and policies. After finally understanding all of the policies and how to complete the tasks, it made my days much easier and more exciting.
What I wish was different
The only thing that I wish could have been different about my internship is how I was trained. The training for this internship was done by online modules, which helped me understand many concepts, but did not fully identify and describe how I would complete many tasks.
Advice
One important piece of advice that I have for this experience is to ask questions as much as possible. Not everyone is going to grasp all the concepts, policies, and laws all at once, so it is important to ask questions to make sure you will complete all tasks correctly.
