Our Mission
Founded in 1971, TVHC is a federally qualified health care center dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing accessible, high quality care to an underserved patient demographic. Our individual and organizational commitment is to ensure this human right through quality service, advocacy and community empowerment. We offer a comprehensive suite of services including primary care, youth services, dental, WIC, community health education, family support services and behavioral and mental health services.
Our staff of highly qualified professionals are competent, friendly, and patient centered. TVHC providers enjoy flexible schedules that provide for an excellent work/life balance. Not only do we care for the health and well-being of our patients -- but also our staff.
Our Community
Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is nestled in the heart of the Bay Area with easy access to most major highways and public transportation. The Bay Area boasts an easy laid back California style with big city energy and opportunities. Living in the Bay Area provides great weather combined with beautiful natural attractions such as beaches, redwoods, state parks, wine country and wildlife. We also offer great restaurants and a vibrant and varied food culture. It is culturally diverse and alive with music, art, theatre and literary events year round. The Bay Area is the kind of place where you can find exciting, big city living (Oakland/San Francisco) or go right up the road and enjoy a simpler and smaller community (Orinda/Lafayette) all within reach. This is the backdrop from which TVHC health care centers are located.
