Washington River Protection Solutions is the U.S. Department of Energy’s prime contractor responsible for safely storing, retrieving and treating chemical and radioactive waste in underground tanks at DOE’s Hanford Site in southeastern Washington—one of the most challenging jobs in the world. The current clean-up schedule calls for operations through the lifetime of treatment and disposition of tank wastes, scheduled for completion in 2047.
