Overall I greatly liked the wide range of projects and professionals I was interacting with, extensive training on survey materials, diverse community, and access to the bank-wide events as presentations and workshops.

What I liked
The staff was very kind and diverse. I got to make friends from all over the world. It was nice to be immersed in an industry I knew nothing about.
What I wish was different
I wish I had known that the job would be very repetitive after a while. I also wish my workspace was not so enclosed inside the building with absolutely no natural light.
Advice
be aware that it involves a lot of repetitive tasks related to the research goals.

Being able to work at the very renowned international organizations. (Specialized agency at United Nation).
What I wish was different
I wish I talked and networked with the professionals (going lunch, etc) at different offices of the World Bank
Advice
I recommend having an internship at consulting services prior to working at the government agencies or international organizations, such as the UN or World Bank. Also, make sure to know the difference between the HQ and local offices internship of UN. It certainly has a difference in terms of values on the resume.

What I liked
A very diverse group of people to work with, all hailing from different countries. I had the opportunity to complete real projects rather than simply busy work. In addition, I had great exposure to international project finance.
What I wish was different
I felt very much as "just an intern". I never had a set place to work and was visibly met with far fewer resources. More senior level people did not make an effort to engage with me and I felt a bit excluded.
