About the role
At Spiideo, we power live sports video and data for leagues and teams worldwide. Join us to help deliver reliable live broadcasts every game day.
Help deliver smooth, professional live sports broadcasts watched by thousands. You’ll keep an eye on video and audio quality, spot issues fast, and communicate clearly so every game runs smoothly.
What you’ll do
- At Spiideo, perform pre‑game checks 45–60 minutes before kickoff to confirm cameras, network, audio, and scoreboard are ready
- Monitor live broadcasts, spot problems quickly, and coordinate fixes with the Spiideo team.
- Post short timestamped updates during incidents and hand over clearly at shift end
- Log issues consistently after games so the team can improve next time
- Share concise updates during live games and escalate quickly when something blocks the broadcast
Required
- Calm, proactive problem solver who communicates clearly under time pressure
- Works well in a team and collaborates smoothly with venue staff and Spiideo teammates in Support and Engineering
- Strong written English for crisp incident notes and updates
- Reliable evening and weekend availability
- Comfortable using dashboards and basic troubleshooting steps. Training provided
- You communicate clearly and confidently, whether talking to a camera operator, a coach, or a CEO, always representing Spiideo professionally.
Strong candidates often have
- Experience in live production, broadcast ops, NOC, or technical support
- Played a sport or has strong sports background; experience in sports operations is a plus
Schedule and coverage
- Part‑time hourly role covering evenings and weekends aligned to priority game windows
- Typical shifts are 4–8 hours, scheduled at least 72 hours in advance
- Handover notes required at shift boundaries
Training and support
- Paid training and shadowing during the first 2–3 weeks
- Clear runbooks, escalation paths, and on‑call support
Success looks like
- High percentage of successful, interruption‑free broadcasts
- Patterns of faults are recognized quickly and improvements to process or tooling are proposed and tracked to completion
- Fast detection and mitigation of incidents with clean, timestamped updates
- Accurate incident logging and consistent shift handovers
Compensation and contract
- Part‑time hourly contractor or employee, depending on location
- Competitive hourly pay based on location and experience
Location and work setup
- Initially remote. We are building in‑office Operation Centers, and on‑site work at our offices will be required going forward.
- On‑site transition timeline: on‑site work becomes required starting January 2026.
- Primary offices: Malmö, Sweden and Philadelphia, USA.
- A stable internet connection and a distraction‑free environment are required during the initial remote phase.
