Intern Spring 2026
WTVM-TV became the first television station on the air in Columbus, Georgia, on October 6, 1953. WTVM continues to be the News Leader in the Columbus television market. The DMA stretches across the state line into portions of east Alabama and Auburn University. With a staff of 40+ news professionals, we broadcast more than 4 hours of news each day on WTVM and well as provide news for WXTX, the area's FOX affiliate & WLTZ, the area's NBC affiliate.
The Internship Program:
As a paid intern, you won’t sit and watch someone else doing their job. Gray’s intern program is an immersive experience where you serve as a valued team member to our award-winning teams.

Intern rate of pay can range from minimum wage in your state to $15 an hour.
Qualifications/Requirements:
▪️ Be currently enrolled in a college/university (preferred Junior/Senior)
▪️ Strong work ethic and organizational skills
▪️ Earning a degree in Journalism/Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields, with a desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry
