About the Role
We’re hiring a Junior Design Assistant to support our design team. This is a hands-on role that blends creativity with execution—you’ll support both The Tailory New York and Shao across fittings, sample development, vendor coordination, and, generating product imagery using AI tools .
What You’ll Do
- Assist the designer in sample tracking, fittings, and collection development
- Organize fabrics, trims, sketches, and tech packs for both brands
- Coordinate communication with vendors, production partners, and patternmakers
- Generate and edit AI-based imagery for products and campaigns (using provided prompts and guidelines)
- Update and maintain product listings, collections, and visuals on Shopify
Who You Are
- 1+ year of experience in fashion or design support
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion design required
- Must be comfortable in one-on-one design appointments, focusing on custom design
- Experience using AI image tools (e.g., Google AI Studio, Gemini, Midjourney, Sora, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent) preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment
