Broadcast Replay Operator

Role Summary

The Broadcast Replay Operator provides students, recent graduates or broadcast professionals the opportunity to operate replay for both the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye broadcast productions. This role works a member of the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye media team. the role's main function is the operation of Ross MIRA. Hours may vary and this role works game days only which includes nights, weekends, and some holidays. 

 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Cut replays for broadcast and in game productions. 
  • Create highlight packages for broadcast productions focusing on the storyline of the game. 
  • Create MELT package after every game. 
  • Import and play all video content. 
  • Monitor audio levels on broadcast. 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current enrollment or graduate with a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Sports Management, or related field preferred. Can be a post graduate role. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of baseball and hockey. 
  • Knowledge or experience working with Ross MIRA or comparable replay system. 
  • Flexible schedule and availability. 

 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Ability to execute a number of tasks at the same time and working well under pressure. 
  • Ability to carry out detailed written/oral/diagram form instructions. 
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 

 

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lifting promotional items and props needed, weighing up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, etc. for the duration of the shift. 
  • Game days will be outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
