Why This Is Perfect for Music Industry Majors
Most student jobs don't move the needle on your resume. This one does. As part of our event team, you’ll:
- Master Professional Gear: Get hands-on with industry-standard Pioneer DJ decks, wireless microphone systems, and complex audio signal flow—the "tech specs" of any professional tour.
- Crowd Reading & Programming: Observe how professional DJs use music theory, energy levels, and beat-matching to control a dance floor in real-time.
- A&R in the Wild: See which tracks actually move a crowd, helping you develop a sharper ear for what makes a hit in a commercial environment.
- Networking with Professionals: Work alongside the region's top talent and venue managers, building the "who-you-know" list that is essential for post-grad success.
- Business Operations: Learn the logistics of a high-volume entertainment company, from contract execution to the "load-in/load-out" reality of professional shows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Audio/Visual Execution: Assisting with the technical setup and breakdown of professional sound reinforcement and DMX lighting rigs.
- Show Support: Working alongside Lead DJs to ensure seamless transitions, managing wireless frequencies, and keeping the performance area professional.
- Client Management: Providing elite customer service to clients and guests, representing the POSH brand with a "hospitality-first" mindset.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Learning to solve gear and signal issues on the fly—an essential skill for any sound engineer or tour manager.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Maintaining a polished, high-energy presence that aligns with a premium entertainment agency.
