Videographer Intern – Summer 2026

 Part-Time | Six weeks at approximately 15 hours per week

Gorton Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the community through the arts. Located in the heart of Lake Forest, Gorton offers cultural events, live performances, films, classes, camps and educational programs for all ages.

 

 

Position Overview

Gorton Center is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Videographer Intern to join our marketing team for summer 2026.

This role plays a key part in capturing and sharing Gorton’s story through engaging video content. The intern will work closely with the marketing team to film, edit, and produce original video assets that highlight live music, summer camps, community events, and the energy of our space.

The primary project for this internship is the creation of an updated splash video that will be shown in the John & Nancy Hughes Theater before films and live events.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Film and photograph classes, summer camps, and special events

     
  • Edit and produce a splash video for in-theater use

     
  • Create short-form videos for social media, website, and promotional campaigns

     
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining Gorton’s video and photo asset library

     
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative video concepts

     
  • Stay current on video production trends and digital storytelling best practices

     

 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field

     
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)

     
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail

     
  • Ability to attend two to three evening or weekend concerts or events

     
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively
