Role Overview
The Merchandising & Product Development Intern will support the merchandising team with product development and operational tasks. This is a great opportunity for students interested in how products are developed, managed, and brought to market in the fashion industry.
What You’ll Learn
- The product lifecycle from concept to production
- How merchandising teams collaborate with factories and vendors
- Product sample management and organization
- Creation of product decks and internal presentations
Responsibilities
- Assist with tracking, organizing, and managing product samples
- Support communication with factories and vendors
- Help create and update product decks and presentations
- Assist with CAD updates and product documentation
- Participate in sample reviews and help capture feedback
- Maintain accurate product data and records
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college/university program (Merchandising, Product Development, Fashion, or related field preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in fashion merchandising and product development
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools
- Basic understanding of apparel development processes
