2026 Production Intern
Location: Burbank, California
Start: May - August 2026
Type: Part-time (3 days/week)
Salary: 17.50/hr
Overview: Mythical is currently seeking an intern to assist the Production department. Throughout the
course of this program, interns will be involved in multiple facets of Mythical Entertainment, with a focus on
Production. Interns will gain hands-on experience while working closely with various Production Teams for Good Mythical Morning and Mythical Kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in some area of Production and be pursuing (or recently graduated with) an undergraduate degree in Film Production or related fields. This is a paid internship and will take place in our studio 3 days a week for twelve (12) weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our production team to support cross-functional needs:
- Assist the production team across all of our content needs, including but not limited to: Good Mythical Morning, Mythical Kitchen, Mythical Society & Podcasts
- Sit in on production meetings across Mythical Entertainment
- Place equipment and prop orders for various departments
- Organize equipment pick up & returns
- Assist production teams with any last minute or immediate tasks
- Assist with PA duties for Good Mythical Morning and Mythical Kitchen shoots
- Move food on and off camera
- Assist the art department with set up and props
- Work with set PA to prep and clean up the set
- Good Mythical Morning Duties
- Assist with one off shoots, including pretapes and media days
- Assist with Good Mythical Summer shoots
- Mythical Kitchen Duties
- Shadow our recipe & beat sheet development process
- Assist with research docs for A Hot Dog is A Sandwich Podcast and Last Meals
- Shadow the thumbnail development process
- Assist with behind the scenes social content (during prep or shoot days)
- Long Term Projects You’ll Get To Work On
- Spearheading a Research & Development project of their choice for Mythical Kitchen
- Monthly production calendar
- Schedule analysis for Mythical Kitchen & Good Mythical Morning
- Work on stage management as we reorganize spaces
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited university
- Rising Junior and above
- Strong interest in Production or related creative field
- Passion and desire to learn and dive into all aspects of production
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
What you’ll walk away with:
- The ability to build a full-day production schedule
- Experience with day-to-day set production tasks
- How to operate, utilize and seamlessly set up on-set equipment (camera operating, lighting equipment etc.)
- Working cross-functionally with other teams to deliver multiple projects while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- How to effectively communicate across a company of over 100 employees
- The ability to handle high pressure situations on and off set
- Experience networking and building on feedback, organization and teamwork skills in a creative and outgoing environment.
