About the Role

Maroon 9 is seeking passionate, talented performers to join our Theatre For Change Ensemble—a professional touring group dedicated to performing for youth in schools and community centers across Fort Worth and beyond. As a member of this ensemble, you’ll use the power of storytelling, music, and dialogue to create meaningful connections with young audiences while addressing critical topics like mental health, gun violence awareness, conflict resolution, cultural diversity, and holiday themes.

This is a paid opportunity for actors, singers, and dancers who are eager to inspire youth, travel, and make a difference through the arts.

What You’ll DoPerformances & Responsibilities:

  • Perform short skits on topics such as:
    • Mental health and wellness
    • Gun violence awareness and prevention
    • Conflict resolution and decision-making
    • Cultural diversity and inclusion
    • Holiday-themed performances
  • Engage audiences through interactive Talk-Backs and Q&A sessions after performances.
  • Collaborate with the ensemble to develop, rehearse, and refine performances.
  • Participate in singing, dancing, and writing as part of the creative process.
  • Travel to schools, community centers, and events for performances (local and regional).

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

Who We’re Looking For

  • Actors with strong improvisation, character development, and storytelling skills.
  • Singers with versatility in vocal styles (e.g., musical theatre, contemporary, acapella).
  • Dancers with experience in movement-based storytelling (e.g., contemporary, hip-hop, jazz).
  • Musicians (bonus) who can accompany performances.
  • Collaborative team players who thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for social impact and a desire to connect with youth through the arts.

  • Dates: April 27 (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and April 29 (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
