Meme Maker / Memelord (Contract / Freelance / Intern) — Steady

Steady is a creative agency working with entertainment brands. We make social content, activations, and campaigns for clients like Netflix, T-Mobile, X Games, and more.

We're hiring a few memelords and content creators for our roster, specifically for a client in the gaming space. This is for a brand with a gaming division that also streams movies and TV shows. You'll need a firm grasp of their games, shows, and films, plus gaming culture in general.

You'll stay on top of reactive and trend-based memes. If something is trending that day, how do we use our client's IP to hop on?

NOTE: We are not looking for people trying to be influencers. This is for creative people who can make digital IP entertaining. Not on camera talent.

What you'll do

• Create memes for brand social channels and campaigns
• Pitch concepts in creative sessions
• Track what's trending on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
• Turn briefs into posts that feel native to the platform
• Work fast and iterate on feedback

Who you are

• You know the difference between a meme that works and one that reads like a brand tried
• You speak fluent internet: formats, references, timing, inside jokes
• You can take a note without killing the joke
• You hit deadlines

Nice to have

• You've run a gaming meme page, lowkey fire finsta that ppl actually follow, stan account, or fan account with real traction
• Basic Photoshop, video editing, or similar chops
• A page or portfolio we can look at
