Design Intern

Lana Unlimited Co., a Northbrook-based luxury fashion and jewelry company, is seeking  driven, responsible, and outgoing student interns. This exciting internship includes experience in many aspects of the fashion industry. Internship Objectives: The objective of this internship is to provide an opportunity for students to gain meaningful experience and knowledge as it pertains to the design process within the jewelry industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual who is passionate about bringing innovation and new ideas to the table. As well as a resume, candidates must also provide us with examples of their design work created within the Adobe Suite programs. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 
• Provide support with all phases of the design process, including but not limited to; market research, trend reports, design development, design meetings,  production operations, and spec finalization. 
• Assist with creating and maintaining organized documents needed for weekly design meetings. 
• Assist with the creation of mood boards in alignment with the Lana brand image. • Aid in the creation of renderings and sketches for custom projects and new designs. 
• Assist with creating and maintaining the photoshop asset library. • Assist in analysis of past best sellers, national sales, and repair reporting as it pertains to the new design process. 
• Assist with the creation of purchase orders for new samples. 
• Assist with sample tracking to ensure timely execution of product development. • Assist in the preparations of all photoshoots and market meetings.
• Support all seasonal creative projects. 

Technical Requirements: 
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. 
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs. 
• Proficient on Mac/PC operating systems. 
• Experience in 3D renderings/CAD design is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Wacom tablets is a plus, but not mandatory. 
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures.

*****This internship requires weekday availability from the hours of 8:15-4:30. 2-3 days a week required, willing to work with full and half days*****
