Wearable X is a design and innovation company specializing in smart textile platforms at the intersection of technology, the body, and health. We are the creators of Nadi X, smart yoga pants that use on-body vibrations and sensors to guide movement and support pose alignment.
We are looking for a creative, organized, and proactive intern interested in fashion, product design, and wearable technology. This role combines assistive apparel development, product research, content creation, and day-to-day project support. Candidates should be comfortable learning quickly, sharing ideas, and working across different types of projects within a small team.
The intern must be located in New York City and available to attend sample reviews, fittings, shoots, events, and meetings as needed.
Role Details
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Part-time, 10 hours per week
Compensation: $17/hour
Location: New York City, hybrid
Responsibilities
- Reporting into the CEO of Wearable X, you will be responsible for participating in the design, creative engineering and analysis of Wearable X products, including content creation and analysis, production of videos, and quality data control across all communication. This will include:
- Support adaptive sample needs
- Assist in community management on platforms such as email, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter (X). This entails responding and resolving customer inquiries, praises, complaints, and needs.
- Ideate and help create content for social media posts, and campaigns
- Help to track and analyze success of social media content
- Monitor competitor activity across social media platforms
- Aid in preparation for photo shoots and events
- Prepare campaign briefs for Wearable X in line with the analytical strategy
- Monitor the execution of the brief to ensure all assets are produced on time.
- Compare recap docs of promotional campaigns
- Provide asset direction based on analytical findings
- Collaborate with the Wearable X marketing team and partners to improve our email program
- Other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Working toward or recently completed a degree in design, fashion, engineering, communications, or another creative or technical field
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to complete work on time
- Creative and comfortable sharing ideas and design feedback
- Able to work independently and learn new tools quickly
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, eg. Illustrator
- Strong visual judgment and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Interest in assistive design, fashion technology, health, movement, or wearable products
- Comfortable working across disciplines in a small, fast-moving team
