DESCRIPTION:
Interns
perform a variety of functions and tasks in support of the organization to
which they are assigned. Interns must commit to a 10 consecutive week summer
work period for each year in the program.
NGA views student employees as our future workforce. The work performed is
professional in nature and is conducted in a learning environment that gives
the student the opportunity to be evaluated for potential permanent employment.
Student employment assignments are based on entry level professional job
descriptions and will involve a great deal of independent work under the
guidance of a supervisor and mentor.
Student interns will have the opportunity to choose from two (2) internship
focus areas: Core Mission and Mission Support. Please find below a description
of the relevant Career Services (Directorates) that pertain to each internship
focus area.

All offers of employment are contingent upon maintenance of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, as determined by your academic institution and all other mandatory qualification criteria; all students with offers of employment will be required to submit an updated transcript reflecting Spring 2018 grades, and a continued cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 prior to entering on duty with NGA for Summer 2018.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). least 18 years of age

cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, as determined by your academic
institution (once accepted, students must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative
GPA to continue in the program)

Students
must attend classes on at least a half-time schedule as defined by your
educational facility

Students
must be currently enrolled in an associate, baccalaureate, graduate or
post-graduate degree which aligns to the occupation (listed above under
"Additional Information"). Please note that students who are pursuing
certificates are not eligible for Temporary Hire Student positions unless they
are also enrolled in a relevant degree program.

Students
may not graduate from the academic program to which they are applying under
prior to Fall 2018.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Incumbent must be
currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's, graduate or post graduate
degree program. Students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A. on 4.0 scale.
Students graduating from their current degree program prior to or during the
Summer of 2018 must be accepted and enrolled in a subsequent degree program for
the Fall of 2018 in order to remain eligible for the Temporary Hire Student
position.
