I got to work outside ever day, educating the public about aquatic invasive species and how to prevent new infestations from spreading. I was part of a team actively protecting the integrity of a valuable ecosystem, and it was really affirming to be doing something tangible and important.
What I wish was different
Co-workers can be annoying in any job, so it would have been nice to have the ability to choose who I worked with.
