About AgriNorthwest

About Us

AgriNorthwest is a farm of families committed to producing affordable, reliable, and high-quality food and to being responsible stewards of the land. Most of our AgriNorthwest family have been with us for 10 years or more; many grew up on their family farms and some are multi-generational AgriNorthwest employees. Employee loyalty is just the beginning of our commitment to feed people and care for the land.

Where We Are

With our main office in Kennewick, WA, AgriNorthwest farms the desert area of Benton and Walla Walla Counties in southeast Washington and Morrow County in northeast Oregon.

Volcanic soils, coupled with a long growing season, produce bumper quantities of high-quality fruits and vegetables. The area receives less than 10 inches of moisture each year, so without irrigation, the land would produce only small quantities of wheat. With irrigation, AgriNorthwest produces potatoes, sweet corn, corn, peas, carrots, apples, wheat, and onions.

Water to grow these wholesome fruits and vegetables comes from the Snake and Columbia Rivers as they flow toward the Pacific Ocean. Water obtained from the river is efficiently applied to the desert soils using some of the most advanced irrigation methods.

Who We Are

AgriNorthwest was born in 1968 out of the dream of three local farmers to irrigate their dryland farms. The Utah-Idaho Sugar Company joined forces with these farmers to build private irrigation systems to bring water to the dry land of Walla Walla County. In the 1970’s, land was purchased in Benton County. Private pumping stations brought water to the thirsty land of the Horse Heaven Hills.

Our mission is to be a reliable, sustainable, and valued grower of good food, provide meaningful long-term opportunities for current and future employees, and provide leadership and service to the local community.

Today, food grown at AgriNorthwest feeds an ever growing population throughout the world. Whether you eat sweet corn in New York City, or French fries in Japan, you may enjoy the fruits of our labors.
