Java Teacher

May - September 2021 • Dartmouth, MA

What I liked

I recently had the privilege of teaching a group of children Java through AiGolearning. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of support and resources provided by the company to ensure that my teaching experience was both enjoyable and successful. The children were eager to learn and their excitement was contagious. The materials provided were top-notch and helped me to explain complex concepts in a way that was both fun and educational. The company was very supportive and always available to answer any questions I had. They provided me with all the necessary materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, and answer keys, which made my job much easier. Overall, I had an incredible experience teaching through AiGoLearning and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to teach Java to children. The company truly goes above and beyond to ensure that both the teacher and students have a positive and fulfilling experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a wonderful organization.

What I wish was different

I had a great experience teaching children Java, but I felt that the curriculum could have been more structured. A more structured curriculum would have provided a clear path for the students to follow and would have helped them better understand the concepts being taught. It would have also allowed me as the teacher to have a better understanding of what to cover and in what order, resulting in a more streamlined learning process for the students. Overall, I believe that a structured curriculum would have greatly enhanced the students' learning experience and their overall understanding of the subject matter.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about teaching children Java is to have a structured curriculum in place. This will provide a clear roadmap for both the teacher and the students. It also makes it easier to plan lessons and activities that are engaging and relevant to the students' needs and interests. Overall, having a structured curriculum can lead to a more successful teaching experience and better outcomes for the students.

Teacher

May - August 2021 • Logan, UT

What I liked

It was a great summer job, especially for college students. Flexible schedules, generous pay per hour, working from home, and the material we teach is fun! I was able to teach elementary age students Scratch with AI concepts and Python with projects with clear instructions where the students could be creative! Learning new material was intuitive.

What I wish was different

While the application process was fairly smooth, it was a little difficult to navigate where the teaching resources were for the classes I was offered. They are constantly updating their website, so this may be a little clearer now. Also, more instruction on how to use the AI tools before teaching definitely would have helped.

Advice

If you plan on living over the summer on the money made from this job, wages are given monthly. This might be a better side job if you are a college student, especially since you will likely be working less than part time per week. The pay is great, though. If you love programming concepts and love working with children, this is the perfect job for you! The students are great and are excited to learn!
