Production Intern

June - August 2019 • New York City, NY

What I liked

I enjoyed learning more about the development process that goes into unscripted television, such as doing research and pitch decks as well as editing sizzle reels. The people working for the company were very patient and willing to teach the interns about anything.

What I wish was different

I had assumed the interns would get more production experience, but because of the current state of the projects at the time which were still in the development stages, much of the internship was focused on that.

Advice

Internship experience will depend on the current state of the various projects, so make the most out of whatever task you will be doing.

Development Intern

June - August 2018 • New York City, NY

What I liked

The staff was friendly and helpful! If there was something I wanted to learn, I could easily learn it by shadowing someone or asking questions.

What I wish was different

Sometimes I wished that there was more for me to do on slow days, but the staff couldn't really do anything about that.

Advice

Anyone taking this internship should get ready to be assertive: if you want to learn from a specific department, the employees will help you, but you have to be ready to reach out.
