Digital Media Marketing Intern

August - December 2020 • Alpine, UT

What I liked

I have really enjoyed working for this company. The internship is entry level and focused on teaching students and providing them an opportunity to work on real projects. At the beginning of the internship, everyone works on the same basic digital marketing skills. However, as the internship progresses, each student is able to set their own goals and customize the internship toward their interests. For example, I wanted to learn more about SEO and web design but there were opportunities for students to work on other skills like social media, graphic design, or video editing. Everyone is really friendly and helpful, and questions are welcomed. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about digital media marketing.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't change anything.

Advice

If you're interested at all in digital marketing, you should apply. This is a fun program.

What I liked

I liked the freedom I had during the internship. I always felt like I had something to do and learned a lot.

What I wish was different

I felt like this internship is a perfect opportunity for someone looking into marketing, but it would be a bit too basic for someone with an intermediate knowledge of digital marketing.

Advice

Put the effort into each project.

Social Media Marketing Intern

May - July 2020 • Alpine, UT

What I liked

I really enjoyed working on projects and gaining social media marketing experience. I really enjoyed working with the other interns. It helped me to better my skills and to be more confident in my abilities.

What I wish was different

It was nice to have the internship start early so then I had the rest of the day free but it was a little to early for me.

Advice

A piece of advice I would give to future interns is to take advantage of the opportunity to try and strengthen your skills. Do things you feel like you need more practice on and try things you haven't.

Marketing Intern

September - November 2019 • Alpine, UT

What I liked

I like how we were in charge of the marketing for four different companies doing real projects for each of them. It's all hands one as well as we completed a digital marketing course and became certified in Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Udemy Complete 12-1 Digital Marketing Course.

What I wish was different

I wish we would've been paid or had a commission opportunity.

Advice

Be open to learning something new whether you have a lot or no marketing knowledge.

Digital Market Intern

September - December 2019 • Alpine, UT

What I liked

I loved that they give you real experience. They dont hold your hand yet they are there to help you learn. I was able to do real projects for real companies.

What I wish was different

They had regular quizzes on material that got a little redundant. They weren’t terrible, but they felt like a distraction from more important projects.

Advice

Seriously try to get in here. The internship is great and taught me so much about marketing. I’d do it again.
