American Chemical Society

Student Communities Intern

June - August 2018 • Washington, DC

What I liked

ACS was very willing to let me explore multiple paths within the company, and were not afraid to let me try new things. I had an amazing time being able to create my own projects and interact with the other interns and employees there.

What I wish was different

I wish there was a little more intent with some of the projects that they set me up with = I felt somewhat unguided when they gave me a project to do, and I would have like to know more information or work with someone on it.

Advice

Don't be afraid to try new things! This was way out of my comfort zone, moving across the country for a summer to work with a brand new company.
