I was given a lot of responsibility in carrying out the activities of the PAC. I was treated like a full team member and contributed to furthering the mission of the organization. I loved the range of causes AHA championed and how I was able to work on all of them. I learned so much about international religious freedom, local politics, and the workings of Congress.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to go to more meetings and learn more about the organization's larger picture.
Advice
Ask questions, don't be afraid to speak up, and ask for more tasks - you'll never be given responsibility if you don't ask for it!
