What I liked

I enjoyed building things with my hands and seeing the progress at the end of the day. Also, working on complex buildings and jobsites opened my eyes on the building industry as well.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have gotten more responsibilities to showcase my skills and test myself for my upcoming professional career. I was taking a backseat and doing as I was told a lot of the time.

Advice

For people getting into construction, I would suggest trying the many different types of construction there is and see which ones you like because they are different in many ways. I am going to school for the management side of construction, and the advice I would give someone taking this path, would be to work in the field for some time to help you better understand the process.
