What I liked
I liked learning about life insurance, had great coworkers and boss, and it showed me that insurance is something I am interested in
What I wish was different
I worked at home due to Covid, so I did not get to meet the other interns besides zoom calls
Advice
Even if you aren’t interested at first in an internship, wait it out because you may end up realizing your skills in that field

What I liked
I loved the environment of the company and all of the people I met. I also enjoyed the social networking opportunities for fellow interns.
What I wish was different
At times I felt that I could have contributed more, but was just sitting around waiting for stuff do.
Advice
Network with people and get to know fellow interns. Do your best and ask questions if you need help. Never be afraid to contribute.

What I liked
My manager and his colleagues always kept me busy with a variety of projects - I felt like I learned parts of everything to do with actuarial work.
What I wish was different
I enjoy being "in a groove," but the work really kept me on my toes. I think if I had had one big project to go with all of the others, I could have increased my knowledge in one specific area.
Advice
If you want a specific type of project or are uncomfortable with the project they've given you, SPEAK UP! They are very happy to find projects that suit your interests and skill-set.
