What I liked

I loved the responsibility and independence I was given as a project supervisor. I also enjoyed working with youth and giving back to an organization that had catalyzed so much positive growth in my life.

What I wish was different

The project supervisor role is very challenging and so of course there were some aspects of the trip that really pushed me. That being said, I wouldn't have changed anything.

Advice

Being a project supervisor requires excellent time management and excellent interpersonal skills. These two things will be key to success as a PSup

Project Supervisor

What I liked

Working for Amigos pushed me to be a better leader and improved my flexibility, problem solving skills, and Spanish abilities. I loved all the connections I made with the rest of the staff team, my participants, and all the friends and families I met there.

What I wish was different

A few more days off and a longer, less-rushed training period, but otherwise everything was good.

Advice

Be prepared to do a lot more work than you thought.

Associate Project Director

What I liked

It was a challenging position that had a lot to offer in a lot of different ways. I got to work with young people and develop leadership skills in myself and others.

What I wish was different

I wish the job had certain elements that had a little more structure to them.

This job provides a challenging but rewarding summer! Come ready to work and learn and have fun.
