What I liked
The environment is so friendly and a great place to learn. Everyone was so willing to put their things down and teach me, and explain it so eloquently. The engineers at Amphenol are very intelligent, yet they're so easy to talk to because they were once students too who didn't know much about the field. I got lots of hands on training. I got to work with TDRs and VNAs, and write MATLAB scripts that were used to check data.
What I wish was different
I wish I got to stay a little longer, but they did tell me I could come back during winter break and next summer, or any weekend I want during the school year.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions. The engineers are happy to help and you won't be judged. Also, keep a daily journal of what you're doing every day. By the end of the summer, you'll be able to look back and see how much you've done!
