Experience takes time. Don't be afraid to ask questions and to say you don't know how to do something. Most of the time co-workers are happy to help you and explain things.

Reliability Engineer

January 2018 • Milpitas, CA

What I liked

The job combines a number of different disciplines - allowing me to utilize my Materials Engineering learning, along with electrical, mechanical, etc. The company also invests heavily in employee satisfaction and learning, including an annual challenge to work in a team and build a business idea.

What I wish was different

I wish the lab-intensive work, or more real investigate, scientific work and analyzing of data would offset the amount of paper work.

Advice

I have 2. 1. Always be looking to challenge yourself and push the boundaries of the unknown (not JUST in your job by the way). 2. Don't forget to give yourself breaks and credit where it is due. Maintaining a positive outlook is really key.
