I got to learn new programs like PI and Visio and use these programs to benefit the company. I used these programs to work on projects for other AOC plants that did not have time or manpower for these projects. The work environment was very friendly and there is no pressure to perform at the level of a full time employee.
What I wish was different
I think that there were times when I could have been woking on more projects, but most of my projects were short and took a few weeks at most. I wish they had spent more time creating projects for me to work on throughout the summer.
Advice
If you are interested in mechanical or chemical engineering and enjoy both programming and field work, I would recommend applying for an internship at AOC.
