Advice

You definitely need to have thick skin to work in the restaurant business, as hungry customers are usually impatient. There is a time and place for asserting your position and letting the customer have their way.

Don’t feel overwhelmed, sometimes responsibilities will stack up but just do one thing at a time and work at a manageable pace.

Don't let the rude costumers get to you. Some people just aren't that nice and a lot of times it will have nothing to do with you.

You can not get discouraged over every little thing. Everyone that comes into the restaurant may not have a great day and if someone gives you a bad attitude to stay positive. Every thing will work out in the end.

Management was going through several changes at the time and was a bit scattered sometimes but we made do. Several new employees only showed up to their first couple days of work before disappearing.

Don’t only show up to your first few days of work and then disappear! Be willing to work with people from all walks of life.
