Machine Operator

June - August 2019 • Brillion, WI

What I liked

The wage, the cleanliness of the facility, the employee events.

What I wish was different

The hours I worked left little time to do fun things outside of work this summer

Advice

Buy comfortable shoes. They give you $100 to buy safety shoes, so use it to get some that are close to tennis shoes or some that are comfortable for you. Also, if you have glasses they will pay for select prescription safety glasses. Listen to directions and keep your eyes open for safety hazards to report them because they have a reward implement system for people that find safety issues to be fixed

Digital Marketing Intern

May - August 2019 • Brillion, WI

What I liked

I was exposed to many different aspects of digital marketing. I learned more from this job than my entire college course career. I was given freedom to explore and learn different branches and areas of study that are not offered at MTU.

What I wish was different

I only wish I had more time there to continue learning and working with the amazing digital team. They were great for teaching new skills and pushing me to expand my interests.

Advice

Go into work everyday knowing that there will be something you don’t know how to do but that is perfectly okay and you will work together to learn and be productive.
