Research Internship

May - July 2020 • Tempe, AZ

What I liked

I really loved being able to work on a project that looked at the relationship between food, energy, and water systems and how we can improve the efficiency of those systems through better stakeholder management. I was also able to network with other professionals working on the project from other universities, and learn about how their contributions played into the overall project.

What I wish was different

Although I had a great research experience, I wish that it wasn't a remote position. I would have preferred to be working with others in person. However, despite this, I was still able to learn how skills, and practice working independently, yet collaboratively at the same time.

Make sure you make the best of your research or internship experiences. Networking with others and building relationships with them is a great way to ensure you have professional contacts to reach out to in the future if you need them.
