What I liked

I was able to review material from a class I already took and help others understand it and learned how to collaborate on code-sharing websites. Also, the hours weren't too intensive or stressful at all.

As long as you reach out, help students, and prioritize the job (as opposed to slacking off or prioritizing other work), then it's not hard at all!

What I liked

I really enjoyed the opportunity to get a realistic view of how research is done as a profession, I loved thinking about potential directions to go with research projects and reading papers that would lead to new ideas or support old ones.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to dedicate more time to research over the summer. I did not realize in the beginning how time consuming research could be.

Advice

Always be open to learning something new and seeing things in a new light. In this position, you have to be proactive to succeed.

I liked that they included MCAT prep classes and a chance to shadow doctors.

What I wish was different

I wish that there was more flexibility in the MCAT class.
