Volunteering is a humbling experience and I believe everyone should have some type of familiarity with volunteering.

What I liked
I really enjoyed my time shadowing the directors within the hospital. They were all very welcoming and allowed me to be with them and set it on important meetings. I learned a lot about the management side within the hospital.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to have shadowed a practice manager there. That is an entry level job and I wish I would have been able to see what their daily duties were.
Advice
At the end of each day, I had a notebook that I would write exactly what I did and learned that day. I really would encourage anyone to do that because days may get mixed up and in a few months you may forget details of what you did during your internship. It is nice to go back and read that!
