What I liked
This job is a great hand-on opportunity for students who want to explore what it is like to work in an analytical lab. I enjoyed the hands-on aspect of it, and that every day was different because you are constantly running samples.
What I wish was different
The drive to the site is hard because it is about 45 minutes both ways, but you get used to that. Also, when the units were down, it made for very slow days because there aren't samples to run.
Advice
Be ready to take on a lot of information quickly. You will get used to the processes the more you do them, but don't be overwhelmed by all of the different powders and samples that are coming in and out of the lab.
