I liked being able to have flexible hours and decorating cakes which is something I enjoy.
What I wish was different
I got bored doing the same thing day after day and felt as if my skills weren’t being respected as in the job interview they had said they would look at giving a raise after a month of working but never brought it up despite me drastically improving the quality and quantity of the cakes.
Advice
Find a job where there is room to grow and where your abilities are respected.

It’s a good, supportive environment with friendly people and flexible work hours.

Corporate sometimes makes strange decisions that makes it harder, like discontinuing paper items for a redesign that takes them months to supply the new product.

Be prepared to go with the flow and think on your feet. It's a stressful job if unprepared, but when mentally there is very rewarding
