What I liked

This was a great opportunity for me to hone my skills in video production and learning about media literacy to understand how my media work can impact the people's minds. The community is very diverse and supportive of storytellers of all ages and we would receive opportunities from one of our instructors on industry events and grant opportunities.

What I wish was different

I wish it were an on-site fellowship, but understanding the pandemic conditions, we conducted the fellowship at home. They had a few career workshop days. I would like to have more of those career workshop days and invite alumni of BAVC to share their career paths and experiences.

Advice

I would advise potential fellows to get everyone's contact and keep in touch with your other fellows to cooperate in projects. These instructors are also helpful and resourceful and they are more than happy to assist you after BAVC.
